The Ellora Caves are also located in the district of Aurangabad. These caves has temples of three major religious, namely, Jain, Hindu, and Buddhist. It shows the religious harmony prevalent during this period of Indian history. These caves are designated as the UNESCO World Heritage Site, combined with Ajanta Caves.
3. Bibi Ka Maqbara, Aurangabad
The Bibi Ka Maqbara is a beautiful tourist attraction in the state of Maharashtra. It is often compared to the Taj Mahal, because the looks alike same. According to the historians, Bibi Ka Maqbara is believed to be built between 1651 and 1661 CE. Due to the budget issue, Bibi Ka Maqbara, resulted in a poor copied structure.
4. Aga Khan Palace, Pune
The Aga Khan Palace is the most important and historical place in the country. It is the same place where the father of nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi aka Mahatma Gandhiji was kept as a prison. The Palace was built in 1892 to help the famine hit areas of Pune. It was commissioned by Sultan Muhammed Shah Aga Khan III. Mahadev Desai and Kasturba Gandhi were died in this palace.
