Getting to Belmont Park on public transit

Option 1: Take the Long Island Rail Road.
The Belmont Park station is located adjacent to the racetrack and is connected to the grandstand by a pedestrian overpass. The station is accessible via ramps located at the east (south) end of the platform.

The station is not on a regular LIRR branch and is served only by special trains to and from Penn Station and Jamaica. For 2022, trains will only run on Saturdays and some holiday weekends. Download the MTA TrainTime app to view schedules and plan your trip.

BUS/SUBWAY
Getting to Belmont Park by bus is really easy. The Q110 stops inside Belmont Park, and the Q2 will drop you off right outside the gates at the Hempstead Avenue and 225th Street stop.

Another great option is taking the subway to the bus. If you live near the subway, ride the F Train to 169th or 179th Street, then transfer to the N6 MTA Long Island Bus. If you want to go bus-to-bus, transfers to the N6 are available at the Jamaica Bus Terminal.

N6 (MTA Long Island Bus):
Operates along Hempstead Turnpike, West Hempstead, Franklin Square, Elmont, Hollis and Jamaica. From Jamaica, the bus starts at Jamaica Bus Terminal (165th Street & 89th Avenue) and runs along Hillside Avenue to Francis Lewis Blvd. to Hempstead Ave. Stops in front of Belmont Park. Connections: Transfer from the F Train at either 169th Street or 179th Street stations.

Q110 (MTA Bus):
Service provided every 20 minutes to and from Belmont during racing days. Buses are available at Parsons Blvd. and Hillside Avenue and from Parsons Blvd. & Archer Ave., and various locations eastbound on Jamaica Avenue and Hempstead Avenue in Queens. The bus picks up and discharges inside Belmont at the west end of the track. Connections: Transfer from F Train at Parsons & Hillside; Transfer from E Train at Parsons & Archer.

Q2 (MTA Bus):
Originates at the Jamaica Bus Terminal (165th Street & 89th Ave.) and runs along Hillside Ave. to 187th Place to Hollis Ave. and ends at Hempstead Ave. and 225th Street adjacent to Belmont Park. The bus picks up and discharges inside Belmont at the west end of the track. Connections: Transfer from F Train at 169th Street or 179th Street stations.

MTA (Alternate Bus Service at Queens Village)
Take the LIRR from Penn Station or Jamaica to the Queens Village Station. Then board the Q27 bus under the trestle on Springfield Blvd and transfer to the Q2 bus at the intersection of Springfield Blvd. and Hempstead Ave. The bus picks up and discharges inside Belmont at the west end of the track.
